Planning & Tips
What to Pack...
When you are planning over 3 months on a motorcycle as small as a 150cc, space is at a premium.   Even the smallest item taken is another item left behind.   Throw in a batch of camera equipment and a drone, suddenly the extra thick sleeping bag just isn't going to happen.  The Following is our list of items taken. These items went in our luggage which we used on our flight and then upon arrival it attached to the bikes.

Bike Parts
How my bike loads...
First, we have plastic rack expanders that we are bringing with us.  This helps stop luggage from pushing you too far forward to be comfortable riding.  After that, I will put my Dryspec duffel on with the saddlebags on the side of the bike.  I will then add another duffel (overboard bag) on top of that.   I am also bringing a small tank bag (for gloves etc) and a collapsible backpack for when I need to walk around a town or to get groceries to a camp site.

All of my camping gear (shown above) fits into the Dryspec duffel quite well, and all of my riding gear fits quite well into the saddlebags.   This leaves the Overboard bag for all my clothing, electronics and other small items.   I also have a couple of nets with me in case I need to temporarily load something on top of it all.   For the flight to Chile, I am making everything fit into the 2 large duffels and I will use the backpack as a carry on for a couple smaller things.   The only thing missing from my list is a helmet, which I will just buy once I am there.
